Malolo Survives Mick's Ferocity!

Despite the best efforts of Monday's category 2 cyclone, the "new" Malolo is still standing. There's a bit of mess but that will be cleaned up in no time. The sun is shining and the ocean is beautiful and blue.

The New Malolo Has Opened!

Malolo Island Fiji has re-opened after a 6 week closure as part of a major F$2M refurbishment.

The first and major stage of the refurbishment consists of a complete redesign of the exteriors of all the rooms including adding an additional two family bures to the resort’s existing one, brand new interiors for 60% of the rooms (remaining 40% to be completed by 31 January 2010), new decking around the Beach Bar and a larger covered area offering more shade and shelter, a new Reception, both swimming pools completely renovated including new pool decking, and a significant facelift for the Terrace Restaurant.

Fijian owner of Malolo, Tony Whitton says, “My family has owned Malolo for 10 years and during that time we have improved Malolo’s offering by building a new spa, kids club and entertainment lounge. However, this latest investment and renovation surpasses anything we have done previously and highlights our commitment to continue to offer quality and excellence and of course, that special Fijian experience unique to Malolo”.

Malolo resort is located in Fiji’s Mamanuca archipelago just 25km/16m west of Nadi International Airport. This 100% Fijian family-owned resort has been a long-time favourite for families and couples alike and over the years has welcomed back hundreds of return visitors.

The resort has undergone a complete transformation which has taken the original Plantation style and brought it to the fore. Using fresh, crisp whites, earthy tones, and subtle South Pacific touches, the revitalised Malolo will set new benchmarks in quality, 4 star level accommodation in the Mamanuca Islands region of Fiji.

Malolo is accessible by seaplane, private speedboat or three times daily fast catamaran. An intimate, rustic resort, it comprises just 9 acres of the 2000 acre island, and consists of only 47 bures - all with ocean views, three dining venues, spa, entertainment lounge for 13 years and over, two pools – including one for families and one for adults only, and a myriad of activities including, snorkelling, diving, island hopping and dolphin spotting to name a few. Prices from only F$297pp per night twin share.

To Celebrate the “New” Malolo, the resort is offering a special
“Stay 5 Pay 3” offer for travel
10 January to 31 March 2010.
